In our section on Board Game Design we discussed what we thought makes something a game and put some of those ideas to practice by creating games that can be played in the Moshimo (or any other) space. Next we discussed more specifically what things we like in board games, video games, and other types of games and brainstormed two board game ideas. Groups then iterated on this ideas, building different versions of the mechanics, rules, boards, and pieces using play testing and feedback to change the design. Finally we had a Parents Play day where we polished the two games and had children guide their parents through playing them.
